At WestLB we are looking for graduates who are proactive in their desire to learn and are keen to take on roles that involve considerable responsibility early in their career. We also value individuality and hope to recruit graduates with different backgrounds and personalities that will complement our already diverse workforce.
Our minimum requirement for any degree discipline is a 2.1 and a good secondary education. But the subject studied is less important than your personality, your attitude to life and work and your ability to think for yourself. We look for good numeracy skills and an ability to assimilate and analyse large amounts of complex information and make intelligent recommendations based on it; and obviously, a degree of business acumen is a must, as is a healthy interest in the financial markets. But ultimately, the ability to take on diverse challenges, build relationships and work in teams is equally important.
